What is the difference between the Lenape Indians and the Delaware Indians?


The Lenape and Delaware are one and the same, the name Delaware was given to the Lenape by the colonists, and that is what stuck to this day, but the name Lenape is preferred, and its use is encouraged, as bands struggle to preserve their heritage.
